    Trabajando la integración interdisciplinar: Evaluación de una actividad puente entre dos asignaturas del Grado en Ciencias Ambientales

    [EN] This paper describes how an interdicisciplinar group of teachers implements a bridge-activity between two subjects in 2nd course of Environmental Sciences degree. The main goal is to develop both generic and specific competencies related to interdisciplinary work. Students evaluate if these innovation proposals are adequate to develop these skills and what impact produces in their own learning. As main conclusion, to note that coordination between teachers to interconnect subjects within degrees is a very appropriate intervention to provide students with a comprehensive education and skills, they value these activities very positively.

    Renovación curricular, una oportunidad para repensar el Trabajo Social en la Universidad de Atacama

    [EN] The article describes the experience of curricular renovation did social work career at the University of Atacama, Chile, which was articulated around four axes: competency-based system of transferable credits, critical thinking and constructivist approach. Likewise, changes in training of Social Work mainly affected by the socio-political contexts and the recent introduction of parameters for quality assurance in higher education were considered. The process included the modification of the income profile, the curriculum, the training proposal, and pedagogical practice, which was developed in conjunction with the students during the year 2013, allowing reflection of the university community on issues such as critical thinking, professional identity, local disciplinary challenges, relevance and particularity of training in the regional context, among other issues. Reflection on a set curriculum renewal and criticism is seen as an ongoing process that impacts not only the immediate environment, but also in the joint construction of a training project in social work that has a correlation with the ethical stakes and policies developed by the discipline, taking on the challenge of educating those fighting for the necessary changes to achieve improvements in the region. In this paper the process performed and design of the proposal, concluding with a review of key learnings and challenges after its implementation is described.

    Percepciones y expectativas del aprendizaje en jóvenes universitarios

    [EN] This article raises the importance of the teaching-learning process from the perspective of students. The objective was to analyze the perceptions and expectations about learning scenario by students of the Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico. The research is qualitative comprised of 20 students in four focus groups in two work centers: Veracruz and Xalapa. For data collection interviews each session is recorded and transcribed into digital format for content analysis using the lite version Qda Miner software. The study results indicate the attitude and credentials as a key factor in the learning process, while the routines of study, teacher-student interaction encourage learning by students. Notably, no significant differences were found in the dimensions of perception and expectations of learning scenarios school level. Finally university students emphasize the need to change the role of the teacher as a companion in the process of teaching and learning, which allows to point to the demands of students improve response aspects of attitude, use of new technologies; also stresses the need to articulate the final assessment throughout the course and not only take into account the written exam.
