00000000X. Estrategias y cuestiones de la postfotográfica

Abstract

[EN] In the nineties starts talking about a postfographic era in which the photographic paradigm as a model of realism overcome or not, hybrid images will be developed where the real and the virtual begin to mixed. Thus arises the concept of postV photography which will be referred to the photographic after "the death of photography". This is a remarkable change in the photographic field in which the processes and behaviors of digital technology have displaced, broken and subverted the adjudicated beliefs attributed to traditional photography. Freed from old issues, digital photography becomes a tool of high potential in the artistic field. Using the same postVphotographic strategies used by the media, 00000000X is an artistic proposal that, besides analyzing and denouncing certain iconic excesses that take place in our society, reclaims the doubleVedged sword in which digital photography has become. Placing special emphasis on the selfVreflection that postVphotography has on the medium itself. Thus, the main objective of this research is to find a correlation between the images presented in the 00000000X project and the uses that postVphotographic strategies make possible: the problem of not distinguishing between reality and fiction when experiencing new media and technologies in old and familiar contexts; identify as a true image without real referent through mimetic and code discourse; the possibility of correcting what is already done by the operation of the "second shutter", etc. These issues will illustrate how the skepticism surrounding postVphotography, together with the creative process it enables, makes it the ideal medium for reflection on issues such as representation and reality. [ES] En la década de los noventa se empieza hablar de una era postfográfica en la que, estando el paradigma fotográfico como modelo del realismo superado o no, se desarrollarán imágenes híbridas donde lo real y lo virtual comienzan a mezclarse. Así surge el concepto de postfotografía, que hará referencia a lo fotográfico después de “la muerte de la fotografía”. Se trata de un cambio notable en el campo fotográfico, en el que los procesos y comportamientos de la técnica digital han desplazado, quebrantado y subvertido las creencias adjudicadas a la fotografía tradicional. Liberada de antiguas cuestiones, la fotografía digital se convierte en una herramienta de alto potencial para la creación Haciendo uso mismas estrategias postfotográficas empleadas por los medios de comunicación, 00000000X es una propuesta artística que, además de analizar y denunciar ciertos excesos icónicos que tienen lugar en nuestra sociedad, reivindica el arma de doble filo en el que se ha convertido la fotografía digital. Haciendo especial hincapié en la autorreflexión que sobre el propio medio desprende la postfotografía. Siendo así, el objetivo principal de esta investigación es buscar una correlación entre las imágenes presentadas en el proyecto 00000000X y los usos que las estrategias postfotográficas posibilitan: la problemática de no distinguir entre realidad y ficción al experimentar los nuevos medios y tecnologías en contextos viejos y familiares; identificar como verdadera una imagen sin referente real a través del discurso mimético y del código; la posibilidad de corregir sobre lo que ya esta hecho mediante el funcionamiento del “segundo obturador”, etc. Estas cuestiones ilustrarán cómo el escepticismo que rodea a la postfotografía, junto con el proceso creativo que ella posibilita, la convierte en el medio idóneo para reflexionar sobre cuestiones como representación y realidad.
