dc.description.abstract | EN In this work, I expose my Bachelor Thesis project with practical typology. The work consisted on creating a story and designing the graphics that a character requires for a 3D video game, assuming several functions inherent to the field of the Game art design that is conventionally assumed by different professional roles in higher budget productions. These functions include art direction, concept art, 3D modeling and texturing. To give a context to the character, the first step in this project was the creation of a story that would allow a better definition of the character and the world that he will inhabit. It is a short story based on the work of the writer H.P.Lovecraft, and the history on many horror and RPG video games like Silent hill or BloodBorne. This story was written by me when I start this Bachelor Thesis two years ago, but actually I made a lot of changes trying to create a story that I really want to work to nowadays. The character is one of the enemies that usually inhabit videogames of terror and action, in this case, it is a female character whose physical characteristics have been seriously modified, making her possess both human and monster characteristics. Here is reflected the workflow necessary for the creation of a character for a video game which can take advantage of the powerful graphics engines that exist nowadays. For this reason, this work will show the testing process with the different softwares to create a 3D model, with a correct polygonal mesh that can be animated and exported into a video game in the future. | es_ES |
| es_ES |
