Challenge Based Learning: Cooperación multidisciplinar empresarial en el aula a través de Consulting Lab de la Universidad Europea de Madrid

Abstract

[EN] The fundamental objective of the activity is to solve a real business challenge in which the student learns to work in a team through critical reasoning, innovation and creativity, as it happens in the business world. The methodology used to implement this activity is Challenge Based Learning, considering that it is the most appropriate for the student to acquire the skills that allow him to advise the management team of a real company. The company "Bodegas Mas Que Vinos", needs to acquire a vehicle for commercial use and poses the challenge of finding financing alternatives. The professors of the different subjects involved, "Financial Management", "SME Accounting" and "Business Taxation", work sequentially with multidisciplinary working groups with the aim of offering a single integral response to the company. The results of the evaluation carried out by the students show a significant satisfaction in the acquisition of competences, given that 64% consider that the activity has been highly beneficial in their learning and 14% quite beneficial. As for the company, it was provided with a very useful tool for decision making.

[ES] El objetivo fundamental de la actividad es resolver un reto empresarial real en el que el alumno aprenda a trabajar en equipo a través del razonamiento crítico, la innovación y la creatividad, tal y como ocurre en el mundo empresarial.. La metodología utilizada para implementar dicha actividad es Challenge Based Learning, por considerar que es la más adecuada para que el alumno adquiera las competencias que le permitan asesorar al equipo directivo de una empresa real. La empresa “Bodegas Más Que Vinos”, necesita adquirir un vehículo para uso comercial y plantea el reto de buscar alternativas de financiación. Los profesores de las distintas asignaturas implicadas, “Gestión Financiera”, “Contabilidad de PYMES” y “Fiscalidad Empresarial”, trabajan de forma secuencial con grupos de trabajo multidisciplinares con el objetivo de ofrecer una única respuesta integral a la empresa.Los resultados de la evaluación realizada por los estudiantes muestran una satisfacción significativa en la adquisición de competencias, dado que un 64% considera que la actividad ha sido altamente beneficiosa en su aprendizaje y un 14% bastante beneficiosa. En cuanto a la empresa, se le facilitó una herramienta muy útil para la toma de decisiones.
