Escuela Agraria : Alquería Falcó

Abstract

[ES] La idea del proyecto parte de la intención de ordenar el espacio urbano que se genera entre ciudad y huerta en el límite de los barrios de Els Orriols, Torrefiel y Sant Llorenç. La Ronda Norte y el tráfico rodado invaden este lugar, por lo que se busca ceder el protagonismo al peatón, transformándolo en un espacio de transición entre la construcción y lo natural que permita poner en valor la importancia de la huerta valenciana. Se vacío será articulado mediante un elemento que marcará un recorrido a lo largo del límite de la ciudad, apareciendo en él diferentes equipamientos que darán respuesta a las necesidades de estos barrios periféricos y permitirá la estructuración del entorno urbano. Partiendo de este punto, el proyecto se sitúa en el entorno de la Alquería Falcó, una vivienda de labranza agrícola del siglo XVII, la cual presenta un estado precario. Próxima a ella encontramos la huella de una acequia histórica, actualmente enterrada, y diversos espacios dedicados al cultivo. El interés por recuperar e integrar estos elementos, junto con la intergeneracionalidad como tema, han llevado a proponer el uso de Escuela Agraria para este espacio, la cual permita rememorar la historia de la Alquería, la relación con la huerta y los elementos que la hacen valiosa ofreciendo un lugar para la relación, integración y formación de los vecinos del barrio. El proyecto se plantea a través de diversos volúmenes enlazados por el elemento ordenador del espacio urbano. Esta pieza genera una fachada rotunda e intima hacia la ciudad mientras que el lado opuesto, el edificio mira a la huerta con una fachada porosa y transparente abrazando a la alquería. La propuesta cose un espacio de vacío entre ciudad y huerta, recuperando su conexión gracias a diversos espacios verdes que dirigen la mirada hacia ella, e integrando la alquería en un terreno invadido por grandes construcciones.

[EN] The inspiration for this project came from the desire to organize the urban space between the city and the orchard within the limits of the following neighborhoods: Els Orriols, Torrefiel and Sant Llorenç. This area is invaded by Ronda Norte and the surrounding road traffic; therefore, I was looking to give the pedestrians their own denomination by creating a transitional space between the construction and nature and allow us to see the beauty of the Valencian orchard. This space will be articulated by means of an element that wraps itself around the city and consist ofdifferent installations that answer to the necessities of these peripheral districts andallow for the structuring of the urban environment. Based on this approach, the project takes place surrounding the AlqueríaFalcó;an agricultural building from the 17th century, and is situated near markings of a historical canal (nowadays buried) and other areas dedicated to cultivation. The idea to recover and incorporate these elements, together with the theme of intergenerationally, have led to the proposal of an agricultural school. This would therefore allow us to remember the history of Alquería and its relationship with the orchard and elements that make it so precious, overall offering a space for interaction, integration and formation for the people of the neighborhood to enjoy. This idea is projected through a compositionof several volumes that integrates the previously mentioned ideology of connecting spaces. On one side of the project, it is shielded with weathering steel providing a rigid and definite sentiment when looking out to the city. On the other side, there is a sense of intimacy as we look towards the orchard through a porous and transparent front fully embracing the alqueria. This piece seeks to integrate the alqueria into an industrial zone and weave together the empty spaces with various green spaces, ultimately reconnecting the alqueria with the orchard and redirecting our gaze towards it.
