Nowadays, the traceability of products is an indispensable tool in the distribution chain.
Traceability is interrupted in the retail sales sector, specifically in supermarkets, due to the high cost of the smart tags (RFID) needed for traceability compared to the cost of the products being offered. The rise in flexible electronics using carbon nanotubes offers new traceability possibilities because of expected reductions in the prices of printable RFID devices, and we will take advantage of this new technology to design a new, intelligent payment collection system - INMA (Intelligent Market). The prototype designed must not leave any part of the process of reading identification on product packaging when they are placed in the shopping trolley in the hands of users, as it must do it automatically, removing any possibility of error. The specific objectives pursued in this dissertation are therefore as follows:
- Analysis of previous systems and description of the main drawbacks
- Analysis of technological innovations making up for faults in previous systems
- Design of INMA prototype
- Economic feasibility study of the project
Finally, this project aims to develop a self-invoicing system making up for the faults in
current systems which have meant that no system has yet been effectively implemented.
sistemas predecesores.
- Diseño del prototipo de INMA.
- Estudio económico de la viabilidad del proyecto.
