[EN] The study of different COVID-19 networks can provide a systematic approach for exploring drug repositories while accounting for the intervening multidimensional factors, from molecular interactions to symptoms. The CovMulNet19 is a comprehensive COVID-19 network built from all existing interactions involving: (1) SARS-CoV-2 proteins, (2) interacting-human proteins, and the (3) diseases and symptoms linked to these human proteins. This information is completed with the compounds that can potentially target these diseases and symptoms.
Based on this network, one can try to extract a list of diseases whose symptoms are similar to COVID-19 and match them with drugs that can potentially be used to tackle these symptoms. This information also permits to identify which are risk factors associated with these diseases and the most common comorbidities.
In this work, we revise the construction of CovMulNet19 network and the biological and medical insights that can provide to researchers and practitioners.
We will compare the results with the ones obtained from other approaches based on Network Medicine.
