New building and development of the environment in the campus of Alcoy

Abstract

The main goal of this final project is to learn about the way of construction in Spain. The construction site is situated in Alcoy at 114km from Valencia. The building categorized as "campus recreation area" includes the construction of an underground parking area with 250 parking spaces and recreational area for the campus, which includes gardens, a gym, an indoor sports hall, changing rooms, multipurpose space that can be used for summer school or other similar activities along with the urbanization of the environment, in what is known as the hill of La Beniata. The performance takes place at the area located behind the building Carbonell, right where the parking area was. This final project is about several subjects. First of all, every phase that happened to make the construction complete are explained. From these phases, one subject is picked to explain more detailed, namely the construction of the cellar. And, to involve the fact that the author is from Begium, a comparison between Belgium and Spain construction's methods is made, in order to reveal the differences.
