Análisis de un Tratado Constructivo del Siglo XVIII

Abstract

[ES] En este trabajo fin de carrera se realiza el análisis de un tratado anónimo de arquitectura defensiva datado en 1750. Se establece un perfil del posible autor, e incluso se puede asumir a Pedro de Lucuze como posible autor. En primer lugar se estudia y compara el tratado con otros tratados de fortificación de la misma época para conocer que aspectos toma de unos y desecha de otros. Simultaneamente al estudio se realiza la transcripción del texto manuscrito para evitar que los posibles lectores tengan que descifrar la caligrafia del autor. Se estudia también la ejecución de los muros de tepes y de tierra y fajina, poco explorados en la arquitectura y actualmente en desuso. Se demuestra así que la llamada arquitectura de tierra no se queda solo en el adobe y en la tapia. También se analizan los aspectos geométricos y gráficos (tipos de elementos que forman el conjunto defensivo) y constructivos, asi como la descripción del replanteo y la puesta en obra que propone el autor. Con este trabajo se pretende no solo estudiar los elementos constructivos correspondientes a este tipo de arquitectura sino también abrir nuevas líneas de investigación relacionadas con la rehabilitación y mantenimiento de este tipo de arquitectura.

[EN] In this Bachelor’s Thesis, an analysis of an anonymous treatise of defensive architecture dating from 1750 is performed. A profile of a possible author is established, appointing Pedro de Lucuze as a possible author. First we study and compare the treatise with other treatises on fortification from the same period to know which aspects the author takes or discards. During the study of the treatise the text has been simultaneously transcripted to make it more easy to understand to the readers. The sod walls and the earth and fatigue walls are also studied. This are elements which are underexplored in architecture and currently out of use but they existed and had their own advantages and disadvantages. By this way we demonstrate that the so called earth architecture does not end with the adobe and the mud wall. All geometric and graphic aspects (types of elements forming defensive set) and constructive as well as the description of the layout and commissioning work proposed by the author are discussed. With this work we not only intend to study the constructive elements that correspond to this kind of architecture but also open new researching lines related to the rehabilitation and maintenance of this type of architecture.
