Estudio previo y propuesta de intervención en la Iglesia de San Miguel y San Sebastián de Valencia

Abstract

[ES] La finalidad de este Trabajo Fin de Grado basado en la arquitectura religiosa trata de la realización de un estudio previo de la Iglesia de San Miguel y San Sebastián de Valencia y la realización de un estudio de su cúpula principal analizando su comportamiento estructural de estabilidad y los materiales que la componen y su patología. Se ha realizado una memoria histórica indicando los datos que hayan sido posible recopilar acerca del autor de la obra, las fases históricas de la Iglesia y las reformas que se hayan realizado con el paso de los años. El siguiente paso a completar fue la memoria constructiva en la que se analizó el entorno en el que está ubicada la Iglesia, el subsuelo, las características de los materiales y morteros que componen la iglesia, el sistema constructivo de los elementos del edificio. Además analizó el estado de conservación mediante un análisis visual y a continuación se efectuó la evaluación estructural de estabilidad de la cúpula frente a peso propio. Y por último se hicieron las propuestas de actuación diferenciándolas en actuaciones urgentes, a largo plazo, medio plazo y corto plazo según la urgencia de su intervención.

[EN] The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis in Religious architecture deals with the realization of a previous study of the church of San Miguel y San Sebastian in Valencia and the realization of a study of its main dome, analysing its structural stability behaviour, the materials that compose it and its pathology. A historical report indicating data ‐ which have been possible to compile from the building´ authors ‐ the historic stages of the Church, and the reforms that might have been realized, as the years went by, has been carried out. The following step was making a constructive report about the environment where the church was located, subsoil, characteristics of the materials and mortar the church is composed of, and the constructive system of the elements of the building. Moreover, its state of conservation was studied by means of a virtual analysis. A structural assessment of the stability of the dome versus its own weight was also carried out. Finally, action proposals, differentiating them in urgent, long‐term, medium‐term, and short‐term according to the urgency of the intervention, were effected.
