EL MODELO INTERIOR, el automatismo psíquico en la creación plástica

Abstract

[EN] For the practical work of the end of degree, they decided to create a pictorial series on the theme of psychic automatism in painting; an experimental artistic movement that emerged within the Surrealist avant-­‐garde and through the first half of the twentieth century in the hands of artists such as Max Ernst, Henri Michaux, Roberto Matta, Jackson Pollock and Antonio Saura, to mention some of them. First briefly will limit the origin, history and background of the automatism, reviewed some of the scientific, psychological and philosophical theories that supported this type of painting. Besides the most important aspects of the work of my main references are discussed. After a theoretical part relating to the project itself, the formal aspects and methodology, were conducted and analyzed a series of paintings and drawings generated by different forms of automatism. With this project we have tried to deepen this free intuitive approach to the painting that we still have a powerfull creative potential

[ES] Para este trabajo práctico de final de grado se decidió crear una serie pictórica en torno al tema del automatismo psíquico en la pintura; una corriente artística experimental que surgió en el seno de la vanguardia surrealista y atravesó la primera mitad del S.XX de la mano de artistas de la talla de Max Ernst, Henri Michaux, Roberto Matta, Jackson Pollock o Antonio Saura, por citar sólo algunos. Primero se acotarán brevemente el origen, historia y antecedentes del automatismo, repasado algunas de las teorías científicas, psicológicas y filosóficas que sustentaron este tipo de pintura. Además se analizarán los aspectos más relevantes de la obra de mis principales referentes. Después de una parte teórica referida al proyecto en sí, a los aspectos formales y metodología, se realizará y analizará una serie de pinturas y dibujos generadas mediante diferentes formas de automatismo. Con la realización de este proyecto se ha pretendido profundizar en este enfoque intuitivo y libre de la pintura que creemos sigue teniendo un potencial creativo inagotable.
