Raymond Depardon. De la fotografía al cine documental

Abstract

El Trabajo de Fin de Grado que se expone a continuación es la base de una investigación realizada sobre la vida y obra del fotógrafo y documentalista francés Raymond Depardon mediante una metodología cualitativa exploratoria. El estudio pretende analizar la influencia que Depardon ha tenido en la historia de la fotografía y la del cine documental en general, y en el contexto francés en particular. Para ello vamos a explorar la trayectoria del autor, buscando respuesta al porqué de su transición. Partiendo de una serie de supuestos teóricos con tal de contextualizar la fotografía y el cine documental en Francia desde su creación. Siendo parte fundamental de este proyecto el estudio del método utilizado por el autor en su trabajo y la evolución del mismo a lo largo de su trayectoria. Todo ello para poder valorar finalmente la delgada línea que separa la fotografía del cine documental en general, y de su obra en particular.

The purpose of this final degree thesis is to initiate an investigation into the life and work of French photographer and documentary filmmaker Raymond Depardon. We will engage in a very extensive field work and so the research will be done through an exploratory qualitative methodology. The study aims to analyse the influence that Depardon has had in the history of photography and documentary films in general, as in the French context in particular. And so, we will explore Despardon’s trajectory, seeking answers to their transition. Based on a series of theoretical assumptions, to contextualize photography and documentary film in France since its creation. It will be essential part of this project the study of the method used by the author in his work and its evolution throughout his career. All this to finally assess the thin line between documentary photography and cinema in general, and Depardon’s one in particular
