El nou concepte de comunicació visual: repercussió de la guerra civil en la premsa il·lustrada

Abstract

[ES] La Guerra Civil Espanyola va suposar un punt d inflexió en la realització de fotografies on l important resideix en la participació del fotògraf en el propi conflicte. Gràcies al compromís de la població i a la evolució tècnica dels mitjans, situem en aquest període el canvi més important de la comunicació visual. Va ser la premsa, a un nivell nacional i internacional, la causant d una expansió del propi conflicte; ara la gent podia formar part de la mateixa gràcies a la informació feta imatge.

Per tant, en aquest treball abordarem d una forma analítica aquest canvi en la comunicació i estudiarem tant les fotografies publicades en premsa més rellevants d aquest període, com la seua repercussió. A més, veurem que la proximitat del fotògraf es presenta com la novetat que permet que la població es puga sentir identificada amb el compromís dels militants.

The Spanish Civil War was the turning point that changed the way of taking pictures; from this point on, the importance resides in the implication of the photographer in the conflict. The engagement of the population together with the technical evolution of the mediums, implied the most significant change on visual communication. It was the press, national and international, which made the conflict to expand; with this visual information, people could be part of this civil war. Therefore, in this project we are going to analyse this change on the communication and studying the images that were published in the press as well as the unprecedented effect that they had on the population. Also, we will discover that the proximity of the photographer is a novelty that allows the population to feel identified with the militants’ engagement
