Vertedero de residuos inertes para la restauración de la cantera dels Carasols en el T.M de Ribarroja del Túria (Valencia)

Abstract

[EN] There writes the present TFG in fulfillment of the regulation Royal Decree 975/2009, of June 12, on management of the residues of the extractive industries and of protection and rehabilitation of the space affected by mining activities, for which all the mining utilizations need of the corresponding plan of restoration. The quarry "dels Carasols ", located in Ribarroja del Túria's municipal area (Valencia) (UTM X: 711108,49; Y: 4376423,30), in conference at the arrival of the end of his use fullife needs a project of restoration of the same one to expire with the regulation. The quarry occupies an approximate extension of 22 hectares and is exploited by the Corporation F. Turia S.A, who takes advantage of the limy material extracted for his sale on the market of the construction. For the selection of the proposal of restoration there will be born in mind economic, environmental and functional criteria at the moment of choosing one of the different alternatives that exist in this type of restorations: agricultural use, recreative use, forest protective repopulation or dump of inert with later restoration. Finally it has been competed for the restoration by means of the creation of a dump of inert residues by a later restoration of agricultural character. The landfill possesses an approximate volume of glass of approximately 4.754.310 m3 and according to an estimation of the sector of managers of RCDs it would have a useful life of approximately 29 years. By means of the creation of the landfill one manages not to restore only the quarry, but in addition one manages to improve the management of inert residues in the zone, since due to the nearness of the same one with the metropolitan area of the city it does a very interesting option to the companies to cheapen costs of transport in the elimination of his managed residues, since one would turn into the nearest landfill to the city.

[ES ] Se redacta el presente TFG en cumplimiento de la normativa Real Decreto 975/2009, de 12 de junio, sobre gestión de los residuos de las industrias extractivas y de protección y rehabilitación del espacio afectado por actividades mineras, por la cual todos los aprovechamientos mineros requieren del correspondiente plan de restauración. La cantera ¿dels Carasols¿, ubicada en el término municipal de Ribarroja del Túria (Valencia) (UTM X: 711108,49; Y: 4376423,30), en vistas a la llegada del final de su vida útil requiere un proyecto de restauración de la misma para cumplir con la normativa. La cantera ocupa una extensión aproximada de 22 hectáreas y es explotada por la Corporación F. Turia S.A, que aprovecha el material calizo extraído para su venta en el mercado de la construcción. Para la selección de la propuesta de restauración se tendrán en cuenta criterios económicos, ambientales y funcionales a la hora de elegir una de las diferentes alternativas que existen en este tipo de restauraciones: uso agrícola, uso recreativo, repoblación forestal protectora o vertedero de inertes con posterior restauración. Finalmente se ha optado por la restauración mediante la creación de un vertedero de residuos inertes con una posterior restauración de carácter agrícola. El vertedero cuenta con un volumen aproximado de vaso de unos 4.754.310 m3 y según una estimación del sector de gestores de RCDs tendría una vida útil de unos 23 años. Mediante la creación del vertedero se consigue no solo restaurar la cantera, sino que además se consigue mejorar la gestión de residuos inertes en la zona, ya que debido a la cercanía del mismo con el área metropolitana de la ciudad hace una opción muy interesante a las empresas para abaratar costes de transporte en la eliminación de sus residuos gestionados, puesto que se convertiría en el vertedero más cercano a la misma.
