The technology used in the detectors for the search of dark matter uses piezoelectric sensors. The
group of search in Applied Acoustic to the detection of Astroparticles of the UPVworks in developing
of a study about the characterization of piezoelectric materials and their behaviour in PZT ceramics.
Impedance method is used to characterize not only resonance frequency measures, but also nonresonance
ones, which are later used to solve coefficients which define piezoelectric behaviour
matrices. Once they have already been analyzed, they are studied with finite elements in COMSOL
Multyphisic and their results are compared to measurements taken in the laboratory. After having
finished with the previous study, we move to optimization phase where coefficients will be simulated
varying their dimensions to be able to analyze their best behaviour. All this process is performed with
an innovative materials which are known as radiopure ceramics
