[EN] The main objective of the project is the study and redesign of the sequential gear shift lever of a rally competition vehicle. This study is carried out to understand and observe how the elements that form part of a competition vehicle are designed, from how it is arrived at to its design, use of materials and function in minimising time in its use, since in competition the main objective is to reduce the time in which a race is carried out. An optimal design and a selection of materials capable of reducing the weight of the lever to the maximum will be taken into account, since in this type of vehicles the weight is of vital importance. In this sense, specific aspects such as section, weight and geometry. The present project contemplates several disciplines in the field of Mechanical Engineering: pre-design and design optimization through analysis and simulations, study of tension states, fixations, resistance analysis, final dimensioning, manufacturing pre-study and cost pre-analysis.
